Themes
Coaching can focus on any aspect of life. I am an expert by experience in some of these. This can be helpful if the coaching goal touches on one or more of the following themes:
Illness and returning to work
Unfortunately, living and working in perfect health are never guaranteed. Everyone may encounter illness or poor health, either personally or in someone close. Dealing with illness or returning to work can be a serious challenge. During a return-to-work journey, I provide honest and empathetic support to help you take meaningful and necessary steps to find alternative, suitable work or other ways to participate.
ADHD
If it’s about living with ADHD, I have a good idea of the challenges you face every day, and how sometimes you feel you can’t see the forest for the trees. In addition, I know where you might have room to improve the situation. Depending on your situation, I can help you during life and career coaching sessions to take (more) control.
High intellectual ability
Talking about high intellectual ability can be awkward or uncomfortable. What constitutes high intellectual ability may be unclear, and age and circumstances make it even more opaque. People may respond negatively. However, when your IQ is higher than 130, you may have high intellectual ability. Often, this leads to particular issues and challenges. Through (career) coaching, I can help you find your own, essential solutions, enabling you to become your best self.
High sensitivity
This term was coined relatively recently and its meaning may vary from person to person. There can be a taboo around high sensitivity — for men in particular. However, it may be an issue you need to address in order to figure out how to hold your own in an overwhelming world — in your relationships or at work. (Career) coaching can support you in learning how to stay true to yourself.
Socially responsible action
A very current theme is feeling overwhelmed, stressed or disillusioned by the state of the world. It can be a challenge to maintain a healthy perspective on such issues — especially if you wish to turn that into career choices that can contribute to socially responsible actions. What can you do? On a small scale, or on a larger scale should you want to? Life coaching and career coaching both provide room to discuss questions surrounding socially responsible action.
Self-care and (burnout) prevention
Sometimes, keeping your head above water on a day-to-day basis takes up so much energy that you can’t imagine how you’ll keep going. The pressure makes you lose sight of the bigger picture and increases the risk of falling ill, for example, as a result of burnout. (Career) coaching may help you to nevertheless find the space for a different perspective, allowing you to start building a better balance – and to create new opportunities to flourish.
