The coaching journey

Towards more control, quality, direction

Where do you stand — in your life, in your relationships with others, in your career or job? Are you still where you want to be, doing what you genuinely want to do?

Are you faced with something that you would really like to change? Do you find yourself unable to pick up where you left off after having fallen ill?

It is helpful to consider coaching if you are stuck, experiencing stress or frustration, and you feel unable to move forward doing what you’re doing now.

Individual coaching can help you take control and overcome the issue holding you back, allowing you to successfully take that next step, past that barrier. For example:

  • To determine a (new) course for your studies or career,
  • To (dare to) make important choices,
  • To achieve greater professional effectiveness and job satisfaction,
  • To create a better balance between what you aim for and what you are able to do,
  • For a better quality of life.

How can I help you

The aim of coaching is to provide you with insights and confidence that will enable you to start changing what you do and why — in order to take concrete steps towards a clearly determined goal.

My approach is honest, empathetic and straightforward. I help you to (re)connect with yourself and re-calibrate your compass, attuning myself to you and your coaching goal.

I listen, ask questions, and help you to consciously pause, allowing you to feel and to observe. This will help to draw a clear picture of where you are now, and to take note of patterns, convictions, motivations and values — creating room for making new choices and decisions.

In addition, I will help you to translate new insights into concrete options reflecting where you are right now.

That’s why I will give you exercises or assignments to try out new things in practice, to learn how to change what you do and how you do it — and to get better at that.

Your coaching goal

An introductory meeting is free of charge, with no strings attached. If you feel there is a match and you’re comfortable sharing your story, we can discuss how to move forward.

Together we decide on next steps, based on your coaching goal. Set your strengths in motion!

The power of coaching

g

Awareness

Everything starts with becoming more aware: what are the things that you do, how does this affect your environment, what are your needs and wishes, and which thoughts, feelings and motivations are at play?

Taking the wheel

You take the steering wheel, to direct your own process of growth, towards the goals that you set. You choose taking action, one step at a time — always in a way that feels right for you.

Focus on results

You set clear goals and translate them into achievable results and actionable steps. This way, you will develop the focus you need — to kickstart your process, and to continue to evolve and grow.

Coaching services

Supporting change

T42 (Tea for two) Coaching & Training aims to provide a safe and open environment to explore and identify things you could (or should) change, and how to go about that — in your work and career, your personal life, or when dealing with illness and returning to work. T42 Coaching & Training offers coaching programmes for private individuals, companies and benefits agencies. Face-to-face in Leiden or online, in either Dutch or English.

  • Supporting (dealing with) change.
  • In your work and career. In your personal life. During illness and when returning to work.
  • For private individuals.
  • For companies and benefits agencies.
  • In Leiden or online.
  • Available languages: English and Dutch.

Coaching to support your life, your work — and to support taking part in everyday life

T42 Coaching & Training provides career coaching, life coaching, and return-to-work guidance — including the Dutch Track 2 and Track 3 (Spoor 2 / Spoor 3) in accordance with the Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet Verbetering Poortwachter). Coaching types may overlap.

Expertise by experience

Besides being a coach, I’m also an expert by experience with regard to returning to work, dealing with illness, ADHD, high sensitivity and high intellectual ability. This makes it easier to discuss these topics in coaching.

Purpose, self-care and (burnout) prevention

Two other themes are given special attention. The first one has to do with a very current question: how to relate to everything that is happening in the world in a healthy, meaningful way — as well as how to turn that into career choices that can contribute to socially responsible action. The second theme concerns high risk of stress-related absence (e.g. due to burnout), in which case coaching will be focused primarily on self-care and prevention.

Supporting growth

My name is Job Surie (1966) and I am the owner of T42 Coaching & Training — for career coaching, burnout prevention, return-to-work guidance and life coaching. I provide these services in Dutch or English.

I am a NOLOC-certified career professional (‘registerloopbaanprofessional‘ or ‘RL‘) and qualified practictioner coach and team coach. I have a background in Human Resource Management, as well as work experience in other fields, plus a wide range of interests.

Over the years, I have begun to focus more and more on supporting others in their development and growth — both individually and as teams.

My passion is to help people grow, and to see them find their strengths, challenge their own limits and extend their horizons. As a coach, I may also draw on personal expertise by experience when that’s helpful to facilitate the process.

What a client says about (career) coaching

Coaching journey with Job has helped me in so many ways

“My coaching journey with Job has helped me in so many ways. Job was very easy to talk to thanks to his calm and supportive nature.

I felt completely safe and secure while observing, identifying and organising my thoughts, feelings and expectations. As a result, I have become much calmer – both physically and mentally. This has allowed me to grow professionally and personally.

Among other things, I feel re-energised in my work. Coaching has opened up new and interesting possibilities for my development and growth. I can definitely recommend coaching with Job. Thank you again!”
